Get Involved at KIPP WAYS

Hello Parents/Guardians:

We have structured volunteer hours that will allow you to earn your very own KIPP WAYS shirt(s). Our ten hour days, Saturday School and many field trips allow many opportunities.

Interested??? Here is how it works:

Only the hours that have been logged (time clocked in and time clocked out) will be counted and tallied monthly. Anytime less than half a hour will not be counted, but is greatly appreciated.

Earnings are as follows:

  • Single Parent Families required hours to earn a t-shirt 25 hours / required hours to earn a polo 50 hours
  • Two Parent Families required hours to earn a t-shirt 45 hours / required hours to earn a polo 90 hours
  • Anything over the hours above will be consider most generous and very much appreciated. Listed below are a few ways to help you achieve your hours. We, the KIPPWAYS staff look forward to seeing you all.

Ideal ways to volunteer:

Volunteer/Attend Points Earned
Attend KTA meetings 1 volunteer hour
Attend KPU classes (offered during Saturday School) 1 volunteer hour
Help in your scholar's classroom @ least 1 hour 2 volunteer hours
Donate items to teacher's wish list/school store 1 volunteer hour
Fundraising/getting your employer to sponsor/donate items requested or monetary funds 2 volunteer hours

Best Regards,

Ms. Owens

The scholars sorted through, organized, and packed up books that were sent to children in Africa. The scholars even got a chance to write messages on the boxes encouraging the students to read!
