KIPP WAYS Spotlight on Alumni

Some high schools that are attended by our alumni are: Grady Magnet; Choate Boarding; Holy Innocents; The Asheville School; Washington Magnet; Norcross High, Hotchkiss, Dekalb and Darlington.

Charles King

Charles King is maintaining honor roll status at The Darlington School. He is also the head mentor for his dormitory. He’s extremely busy with baseball, soccer and debate club throughout the school year.

Charles is also a great recruiter, he is constantly trying to get more students to come to The Darlington School. J

Shaunteri Skinner

Shaunteri Skinner is doing great things at The Asheville School; she’s maintaining an A average. Despite adversity by some classmates (that didn’t think she had the right to be there) she has emerged ranking No. 3 amongst the 9th graders! She is now tutoring some of the same people who had a problem with her being there. Even though Shaunteri nor her classmates are of voting age, she was one of the main leaders to head up a committee to support Obama, and it allowed them to educate others on politics
